Description:
This article will help in configuring User Agents in the ASBCE to restrict application version access for Remote Worker connectivity.
Steps:
When configuring User Agent string contains special characters, if it configured Regular Expression, the special characters needs to preceded with back slash "\". Below is an example of how to configure User Agent string for above client.
*** PLEASE NOTE :- For other phone types :- We would need to check the User Agent in REGISTER message to get the exact expression for any series phones and then need to match it.
After inputting the following user agent strings below you will want to attempt to register a phone and simultaneously run a traceSBC from the Avaya SBCE command line interface. You should now see a REGISTER message coming into SBCE. Need to click on it to see the User Agent part. Then accordingly need to match it in User Agents tab.
