CMS: How To Access the Avaya CMS (Call Management System) Main Menu from the CLI and Navigate the System

Description: This article will provide the procedure to access the main menu of Avaya CMS from the CLI and navigate the system.

Steps:

Step 1a: Log into CMS via the CLI

NOTE: A preferred application to use is ZOC8 terminal emulator to access the CMS cli

Step1b: Log in with the following settings using ZOC8

Step 2: Once logged into the CLI of CMS, type the command:

cms

Step 3: Hit enter to select the default input terminal type of: xterm-256color.

You should now see the main menu of CMS.

NOTE: You can navigate the menu by simply pressing the up and down arrows. Hitting enter or arrow right to select and navigate to the next submenu.

Also, to use the keys on the bottom of the page, press the F keys that coincides with the order of the buttons.

F1 =Help, F2=Window, F3=Commands, etc. 

NOTE: Select buttons may not be applicable for certain selections or screens.
