How to obtain a UUID from an Avaya ASP server

Description:

This article will show you the command(s) needed to obtain a UUID from an Avaya ASP server. In order to follow along with this article you will need login credentials for your Avaya ASP server.

Steps:

  1. Login to your ASP server using an SSH client to get to a command line shell. 
  2. execute the command esxcli vm process list 
root@CUST-ACPS-1:~] esxcli vm process list
CUST-ACM-1
  World ID: 1481922
  Process ID: 0
  VMX Cartel ID: 1481921
  UUID: 56 4d c4 b0 36 a4 fc c4-20 e6 e7 db 56 88 7d bc
  Display Name: CUST-ACM-1
  Config File: /vmfs/volumes/5e02f3e1-a0b0ac52-62e1-e5534ba4cb78/ROC-ACM-1/ROC-ACM-1.vmx
[root@CUST-ACPS-1:~]

 

 

From the output of the command you will see the numerical UUID shown in the line that begins with UUID.
