Description:
The licensing model is changing in in Alarmtraq release 12 from a perpetual license model to a subscription based model. The new pricing model is progressive, meaning that we offer volume discounts as you add more devices.
This article will show the verification process for older 11.x systems that are transitioning to the new subscription model.
Steps:
Option 1:
Customers can use stop the Service through the services manager and launch the Alarmtraq application from the desktop.
Option 2:
Alternatively, Access the Windows machine that is hosting Alarmtraq using Remote Desktop.
Once logged in, click search from the bottom task bar.
Type: Command Prompt or CMD to open a command prompt window.
Next, stop the AlarmTraq Windows service by entering the command net stop AlarmTraq in the command prompt.
Now we need to start the desktop application
The Desktop application can be started in two ways:
- Click on the Alarmtraq shortcut icon on the desktop
- (Second option) From the command prompt change to the Alarmtraq directory cd Program Files (x86)\AlarmTraq, then type AlarmTraq.exe.
Once the desktop application launches, select Help → About AlarmTraq
Take a screenshot of the pop-up and provide that back to the intlx representative
