Site was recently converted from a Windstream PRI to a Comcast Masergy PRI. Calls normally being re-routed to a 3rd party answering service after hours were being denied. Caller gets "your call cannot be completed" from the carrier when call is made. Calls were being denied because the caller ID of the original caller was presented to the carrier instead of a valid caller ID number. The Windstream PRI did not restrict those calls but now the Comcast SIP backend PRI does.
Steps:
To mitigate this issue, adding tandem routing modification is needed on the new trunk. In CM, go to change trunk-group xx to page 3 and change the Modify Tandem Calling Number to tandem-cpn-form.
Then go to change tandem-calling-party-num and add the appropriate information and what caller ID number is needed for the call to route through.
