Description:
How to disable .opus file extensions and switch to .wav file extensions
Steps:
In Release 11, voicemail pro began to use .opus file extensions for audio within voicemail pro. To revert back to .wav file extensions follow these steps.
- SSH to the application server hosting vmpro -or- the primary / secondary IP Office servers using root privileges.
- Navigate to the /etc/ folder. and edit 'vmpro_settings.ini' using CLI as root to change recordings to WAV format (insecure).
nano /etc/vmpro_settings.ini
Change to (default is Y): UseOpusForRecordings=N
Save file (CTRL + X, Y, ENTER) - restart voicemail pro services
service vmrpo restart - Exit the SSH session
