Description:
When pressing the speakerphone on a 9408 digital phone, instead of an expected dial tone, users get a buzzing sound and the speakerphone is unable to be used, until the phone is either rebooted, or if digits are pressed, the call falls, but then can be used. This is a reoccurring issue unless ECAN is turned off.
Steps:
To resolve this issue, we need to disable echo cancellation on the 9408 digital set.
Here are the steps to do this:
1. Press MENU, looks like an "A" button on the phone.
2. Scroll to Advanced Options, select
3. Scroll to Audio, select
4. Scroll to Echo Canceller, press Change from ON to OFF.
