Description:
Avaya Workplace can see calling party name, but not calling party number.
Steps:
- Access the utility server via the command line with any login and password.
- Switch User to root: type "su - root" (no quotes)
- It is recommended that you copy the current 46xxsettings.txt file to another file name in case the file needs to be reverted, example below.
cp /var/www/html/custom/46xxsettings.txt ~
- Type "cd /var/www/html/custom"
- Use the vi editor to update the 46xxsettings.txt file and add the following line near the top of the file:
SET SHOW_CALLERID_ON_CALL_APPEARANCE
- Save the file.
- Restart Avaya Workplace.
At this point, the calling party number should be visible on any incoming call.
